Dental implant costs vary greatly depending on the complexity of the procedure, systems used, and doctor experience. We’ll make some sense of that here, and you can see our actual fees. Our goal is to simplify our fee structure as much as possible, without backend hidden costs, so that you will know your exact costs.
The most honest answer is that dental implants are being treated like a commodity by the dental industry. The dental insurance industry typically covers dental services such as crowns, fillings, root canals, and cleanings. They select a maximum fee that they will base their paid benefits on for a specific region, such as a zip code. This forces most dentists to set their fees near this level. The insurance companies have determined the price, and most dentists adjust what techniques and materials they use to fit this price. A few specialty dentists will choose not to accept dental insurance, and they will have higher fees so that they can optimize the patient’s treatment for the best experience and the best long-term outcome, both of which cost the dentist more money and require greater experience and skills. A small number of dentists will go the other way, and they will offer lower prices, but they have to make up for this by using lower quality labs, lesser quality materials, less experienced staff, and a higher volume of patients per day. In exchange for the lower prices, patients typically get a lower quality experience and poorer quality restorations.
Dental implant services are minimally covered by dental insurance. As a result, patients have had to pay for their own dental implant and grafting services for decades. In the past a few select doctors placed dental implants, and they were able to charge exorbitant fees as a result. 20 years ago, it was not uncommon for a patient to be quoted $7,000-10,000 just to have the implant fixture placed in the bone. This didn’t even include the abutment and crown! Today it is much more common to be quoted $4,000-8,000 for the entire implant, abutment, and crown. The market levelled the price out on single implants, but now the price for full-arch procedures is going through a change. 20 years ago, Dr. Hodges attended the U.S. launch of All-On-4 at a Nobel Biocare symposium in Las Vegas. He did some research after that. Only a few doctors were offering full-arch fixed implant bridges in the Seattle area. The high cost was $100,000 per arch, and the median was $70,000 per arch. He met with Dr. Paulo Malo (the creator of All-On-4) and wanted to apply his techniques to be able to offer the restorations for less. He and his surgical partner, Dr. Jeff Rogers, experimented with pricing from $16,00-$30,000. The made too much money on some cases, and they lost their shorts on others. They settled in on $25,000 an arch (in 2009) as the win-win price between doctors and patients for an All-On-4 bridge. In 2013 Nobel Biocare launched the Treatment Efficiency Model, and he was part of that. They used his and Dr. Rogers’ pricing model as a suggestion to doctors who incorporated this business model. Fast forward to 2025. Many young doctors are selling All-On-4 (All-On-X) for a very low price, not understanding the costs it takes to do these cases properly. We suggest that you approach these deals cautiously. You will be satisfied early. It will look nice. You will feel good. Then life happens. 1/3 of our patients have had full arch procedures done elsewhere, and those procedures failed. Now Dr. hodges is rebuilding them. He currently (Jan 2025) has 3 patients suing their previous dentists for failing procedures. Patients want to get the procedure done as quickly and inexpensively as possible. That’s understandable. But around month 4 they start to struggle with the impact on speech, hygiene, esthetics, spitting when speaking, and their confidence. Quite often they are told, “It is what it is. Learn to live with it.” Now their concern is that the new “them” LASTS. And that’s when they research specialty implant doctors, and they find Dr. Hodges. Sadly, they have had irreversible destruction to their bone performed for these quick procedures, and it can take years to rebuild the bone before the new implants can even be placed. We understand all of this. Our goal is not to tell you what to do. Our goal is to educate you about this, listen to your wants, listen to your needs, listen to your budget, and then take the time to develop a customized plan for YOU. It doesn’t sound great in an advertisement, but it’s the truth. At Dental Implant Solutions our goal is not to treat 500 patients a year to mediocrity, it is to treat 50 patients a year to perfection. If you want this, we are the practice for you.
Our office philosophy is that we must filter every decision through two things:
1.) What will create the best patient experience?
2.) What will result in the best long-term clinical outcome?
We don’t fit your treatment into a single restorative offering or into a simplified system that speeds up the initial procedure, but at the expense of long-term success and reparability. We don’t use less expensive systems, materials, or processes that can compromise long-term success. We don’t have the lowest prices, but we will deliver the best long-term value for your dental implant investment. Dr. Hodges has delivered fixed full-arch restorations to his patients for over 20 years, and during that time he experimented with many different treatment options and price ranges. He began placing fixed full-arch restorations when the metal frame was cast gold, long before milled titanium and zirconia. He watched the shaky early days of zirconia, the introduction of Cobalt-Chromium as a metal base in the United States, and the evolution of porcelains that can be used for crowns. He was using CAD software and scanning 20 years ago, when most of today’s self-touted “Technology Experts” were just getting their driver’s licenses. He watched the evolution of technology in dentistry, so he really understands both its benefits and its limitations. He understands WHY we do what we do instead of just HOW to do it. Having placed thousands of dental implant restorations for over 25 years, he has experienced the joy patients feel when they initially get an implant restoration, and he has experienced the disappointment they feel when complications arise in the future. For over 15 years Dr. Hodges has troubleshooted complications for a network of dentists and laboratories across the nation, so he truly understands what can go wrong, how the patient is affected, and what can be done before the treatment is even started to help minimize the risk of unhappiness and failure (see The Unhappy Patient). From this he developed the concept of 10 Full-Arch Options so that patients can see ALL of the treatment possibilities, including the benefits and limitations of each, as well as the cost, so that they can CHOOSE what best serves their wants, budget, and long-term success. We apply the same values to all of our dental implant services.
Patients often call our office asking how much a dental implant is. It’s difficult to give quote without seeing the patient first, so to make this easier for you, we offer a free 20 minute consultation where we take a panoramic radiograph to see the overall state of your oral health, and then we listen to your wants. We may do a brief oral examination, and then we can typically give you a more specific cost range.
Why is it difficult to give a specific price? We know how much the fees are for the dental implant fixture, the abutment, and the crown. What we don’t know is what we need to do to prepare the area for it. Think of it like buying a manufactured home. The builder can tell you the cost to buy the home, plus any upgrades, quickly, but they can’t quote what it will take to actually install the home until they see the land you are building it on. Is it swampy or is it bedrock? Is it on a slope that must be built up, or is the lot perfectly flat? Do they need to clear a bunch of trees or is the site already developed and ready to go? These factors will significantly affect the cost as the ideal foundation is prepared. We have the same issues. Do you need an extraction first? Is the bone damaged and it needs to be grafted? Do we need to modify an adjacent tooth with a crown or braces first to idealize the site for long-term success. We can get a much better idea at your consultation.
What about an implant bridge that replaces a few teeth? The same limitations apply as noted before. It can be more expensive to build the foundation, and the proper number of implants to support a bridge varies person to person based on the quality and quantity of bone we have to work with, but we can still give you our fee for the components that build the bridge.

Many offices treat all of their patients with one or two full-arch options. It is more efficient for them, easier for patients to understand, easier to price, and easier to train staff and doctors to do.
BUT… Think about this from the patient’s perspective. Treating everyone who has some teeth missing and some broken down teeth with these more aggressive full-arch procedures is no different than treating every lower leg ailment by amputating the leg below the knee and placing an artificial lower leg. This is a great service for those who have severe damage below the knee, but would you want this same treatment if you just needed 2 toes amputated? What if you could save your leg by having ankle surgery or foot surgery instead, would you do it? Of course you would! Why are we treating everyone with broken down and missing teeth the same way? We shouldn’t be.
At Dental Implant Solutions we offer 10 Full-Arch Options so that you can choose what best fits your wants, needs, and budget. The disadvantage of customized treatment has been that it is inefficient, and it is very difficult to give patients a price range for more complex and variable procedures. Dr. Hodges took his understanding of full-arch cases from thousands of procedures over 20+ years and created package pricing for 7 of our 10 Full-Arch Options so as to simplify your decision-making process. See Full-Arch Services for details, comparison charts, and a list of the “Benefits and Limitations” of each Full-Arch Option.

Snap-in dentures are an affordable way to treat a large area or full arch of lost teeth using dental implants. The costs vary based on the number of implants and attachments placed, the number of extractions, and whether the patient has a good quality pre-existing denture. The best dentures for snap-ins have a metal sub-frame to prevent fractures. We include these in most of our packages.

Bone grafting is required often to rebuild the foundation of bone prior to placing an implant. Think of it like leveling the ground and placing a retaining wall before building a house. Bone grafting can be done at the time of implant placement, or it can be done prior to implant placement based on the volume of the graft. It is an important step in the long-term success of your implant restoration.
Anesthesia is all about your comfort. Some patients use only local anesthetic for a full arch of extractions and implants. Others have general anesthesia for a single implant. It’s all about your comfort. We offer several options for you to choose from.

Determining if you’re a suitable candidate for dental implants is an essential step in your journey to a renewed smile. Ideal candidates are generally in good overall health and possess sufficient jawbone density to support the implant. Whether you’re missing a single tooth, several teeth, or require a full arch restoration, dental implants could be an excellent solution for you. Factors like oral hygiene, lifestyle habits, and overall health significantly influence the success of the implants. Even if you have experienced bone loss, procedures like bone grafts or sinus lifts can make implants viable. If you’re facing challenges with your current dental state, such as difficulty eating or self-consciousness about your smile, dental implants can offer a transformative solution.
Embark on the transformative journey of Full Arch Dental Service, a meticulously planned and executed process designed to restore your smile’s function and aesthetics. Each stage of this procedure is critical, contributing to the overall success and longevity of the treatment. It’s important not to rush your Full Arch Treatment. Be patient. We are building you a 40 story building, not a single family home. It takes time. Often, cases that are done “in a day” or in a few weeks to months result in an initial happiness that is replaced by sorrow and high costs as the poorly planned bridges fail 3-4 years later. From our initial consultation to the final restoration, every step is carried out with precision and care, ensuring a seamless experience and outstanding results.
Your journey begins with a thorough consultation and examination by our experts. This stage involves assessing your oral health, discussing your wants, expectations, and budget, and exploring the suitability of Full Arch Treatment for your specific needs.
Based on the initial assessment, we develop a personalized treatment plan. This stage may include detailed imaging and discussions about the anticipated outcomes, procedural steps, and any preparatory work required.
In some cases, preparatory procedures such as bone grafting or extractions are necessary to ensure a solid foundation for the implants. This stage sets the groundwork for a successful implant placement.
This pivotal stage involves the surgery to place your dental implants and to place either a fixed or removable provisional bridge. Your comfort will be ensured with our sedation options, including general anesthesia. Fixed (screw in) provisionals may be made the day of surgery or up to two weeks later depending on your circumstances.
This often overlooked stage includes the maintenance of your dental implants. Your implants will be cleaned, and monitored for peri-implantitis, the destruction of bone tissue around your implant. Skilled doctors can intervene quickly to arrest peri-implantitis, and to maximize the life of your investment.
The cost of Full Arch Restoration is an important consideration, reflecting the complexity and customization of this advanced dental procedure. While there isn’t a one-size-fits-all price, factors influencing the cost include the number of implants needed, the type of materials used, and any additional treatments like bone grafts or sinus lifts. At Dental Implant Solutions, we believe in transparent pricing and offer personalized treatment plans to suit your specific needs and budget. We offer a variety of payment options including low-interest financing, ensuring that your journey to a renewed smile is both achievable and affordable.
